GT3 LAVAREDO – Cross Country Triathlon Auronzo
Triathlon Run Leg: The Final Challenge
Now it’s time to put all your determination into action. The third and final run leg consists of 3 laps of 2 kilometers each, for a total distance of 6 kilometers and 90 meters of elevation gain.
The run course of this triathlon starts from the shores of Lake Santa Caterina, heading onto the cycle path toward Misurina. Your gaze is inevitably drawn upward, where, in the distance, the sharp peaks of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo become the perfect motivation to face the final effort.
The route continues along a grassy trail toward the Pala Tre Cime before joining the paved section: initially flat, then descending along Via Zardus, leading athletes back near the Bucintoro area.
From here begins the climb to the Belvedere di Santa Giustina, on gravel and grassy terrain: a demanding yet spectacular ascent that offers breathtaking views over Lake Santa Caterina and the natural amphitheater surrounding the colorful and vibrant finish-area village.
A fast descent on grassy terrain then leads onto a dirt track, setting up the final technical section along the lakeside beach.
Technical details:
-Distance: 6 km.
-Elevation gain: +90 meters.
-Terrain: Compact dirt trails, grass and earth, asphalt.
-Safety: The use of trail running shoes is strongly recommended to ensure maximum grip and protection on the technical sections.
