GT3 LAVAREDO | Cross Country Triathlon Auronzo

1.1 – Organizing Committee

The GT3 Lavaredo Cross Country Triathlon Auronzo is organized by A.S.D. Pedali di Marca, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Auronzo di Cadore, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters.

The headquarters and finish area are located at Lake Santa Caterina in Auronzo di Cadore.

1.2 – Governing rules

The GT3 Lavaredo Cross County Triathlon Auronzo will take place in accordance with this regulation, the official event programme, and the decisions taken by the Race Jury and the Organizing Committee.

For matters not covered by this regulation, reference shall be made to the current World Triathlon Competition Rules and the FITri Technical Regulations in force on the date of the event.

1.3 – Date and venue

Saturday, 11 July 2026 – Auronzo di Cadore (BL). Headquarters and finish area at the Lake area of Auronzo (Lake Santa Caterina).

1.4 – Start order

Start time: 14:00 – Wave starts (based on FITri ranking; women start in the first wave) with 2–3 minute intervals.

All athletes will be divided into heats according to the Italian national FITri ranking points and Elite foreign athletes.

The female category will start in the first heat.

Starting from a different grid than the one assigned, without written authorization from the Organizing Committee, will result in automatic disqualification from the race classification.

Eligible categories

Participation is allowed for the following categories: Junior, S1, S2, S3, S4, and Master.

To take part in the GT3 Lavaredo Cross Country Triathlon Auronzo, athletes must be registered with a F.I.Tri. club. Foreign athletes must present a valid sports licence from their country of origin.

A daily licence (“daily pass”) is also available at a cost of €20.00 (plus entry fee). The daily licence is issued by FITri through the “MyFITri” platform at the following link: www.myfitri.it

Daily licences must be requested no later than the Tuesday preceding the race.

Punctual submission is required to allow the Federation to verify the documentation and validate the request, and to ensure athletes can register for the race within the required deadlines.

3.1 – Registration opening

  • Registration opens on 01.06.2026 and closes on 08.07.2026, subject to availability of places.

3.2 – Entry limit

The maximum number of entries allowed is 300 athletes.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to increase this number for invited Open athletes and wild cards.

The Organizing Committee may also close registrations at any time, even if the maximum limit of 300 athletes has not been reached.

3.3 – Entry fees

The participation fee is set as follows:

  • Junior: €15
  • Under 23 / S1: €25
  • S2 / S3 / S4 / Master: €50

If by May 31 you are already registered for the GT3 Lavaredo Gravel Cross Triathlon Tre Cime and you also want to take part in the Cross Country race, you can register at a reduced fee. Simply complete your registration on the Endu platform using the appropriate option. This way, you will also be able to participate in the Gran Combinata X-Tre Lavaredo.

If you are already registered for the GT3 Lavaredo Gravel Cross Triathlon Tre Cime but prefer to take part only in the Cross Country race on Saturday, you can request a change of registration by writing to gt3lavaredotri@evodata.it.

You will be entitled to a €30 refund, which can be collected at the event registration desk. There is no need to submit a new registration, and your personal data will remain correctly updated in the system.

3.4 – Daily licence

The daily licence is available at a cost of €20.00. It is issued by FITri through the “MyFITri” platform at the following link: www.myfitri.it

The entry fee is a single fee for all courses and includes all race services (course, medical and mechanical assistance, final refreshment), race pack, race kit, and pasta party.

In case of cancellation or suspension of the event due to force majeure beyond the control of the organiser, the entry fee will not be refunded.

3.5 – Registration method

Registration must be completed online via the official website www.gt3lavaredo.com under the “Online Registration” section, which will redirect users to the automated registration system.

3.6 – Athlete substitution

An athlete may be replaced only after completing registration, by transferring the entry to a third party and communicating all details to gt3lavaredo@evodata.it. A €10.00 administrative fee applies.

The deadline for substitutions is 05.07.2026.

3.7 – Withdrawal from participation

Withdrawals are possible until 05.07.2026, with either a name change or transfer to the following year. After this date, no requests will be accepted.

3.8 – Checks and complaints

3.9 – Licence check and race pack collection

Licence verification will take place at the race office at Pala Tre Cime sports hall, Via Zardus, Auronzo di Cadore, during the following hours:

4.1 – Course

  • Swim (1.0 km): held in Lake Auronzo, consisting of a 500-metre loop to be completed twice with an Australian exit. The use of a triathlon wetsuit is mandatory in cold water conditions (below 18°C) for all categories. The wetsuit must cover the entire body in a snug fit, excluding hands and feet.

The swimming start is scheduled at 14:00 from Lido Bucintoro and will take place in waves (based on FITri ranking; women in the first wave) with 2–3 minute intervals.

  • Cycling (20 km): a 5,000-metre loop with 120 metres of elevation gain per lap, to be completed four times. The course runs along the cycle path around the lake, as well as forest trails and unpaved roads, fully closed to traffic.

Mounting the bike inside the transition area is strictly forbidden. Athletes must mount their bikes in the designated mounting zone. Failure to wear a rigid protective helmet will result in immediate disqualification.

Full road closure will be enforced with marshals present along the course. At the end of the cycling segment, athletes must return their bike to their assigned rack in the transition area.

  • Run (6 km): a 2,000-metre loop with 30 metres of elevation gain per lap, to be repeated three times. The course runs on dirt roads, grassy trails, and paved sections.

Transition area (T1 & T2)

The transition areas (T1 and T2) are located on the Transacqua bridge over Lake Santa Caterina and are fully enclosed with metal barriers.

  • T1 is set in a North–South direction with entry from the Bucintoro side
  • T2 is set in a South–North direction with entry from the Stella Alpina side

4.2 – Timing

Timing will be managed by EVODATA.

5.1 – Entry into the results

All athletes, both competitive and amateur, will be included in the rankings provided that they complete the entire course within the established time limits, clearly displaying their race number and correctly wearing the timing chip.

Crossing the finish line without having completed the full course will be reported as an infringement to the appointed jury, which will take appropriate action.

Any athlete who is slower than the established time limit at the time cut-off point will be withdrawn from the race. Their race number will be removed, and they must immediately leave the course. Athletes withdrawn under this rule will still appear in the results list based on the order in which they left the course.

5.2 – Individual rankings

Individual rankings will be based on total race time, not finishing order. Split times for the three disciplines (swim–bike–run) and the two transition areas will be recorded separately: T1 (swim/bike transition time) and T2 (bike/run transition time).

Results will be published in the press and on the official website www.gt3lavaredo.com.

5.3 – Awards and prize money

According to FITri tables for competitive categories.

Prizes in kind will be awarded for amateur categories.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three classified teams.

5.4 – X-TRE Lavaredo Grand Combined Classification
An overall classification will be drawn up for participants in both events, taking into account the times achieved in the CROSS COUNTRY race and the GRAVEL ATIPICA race.

5.5 – Prize collection

The Flower Ceremony and award ceremonies will take place at Lake Santa Caterina, in front of Bucintoro.

Cash prizes and prizes in kind will be awarded to entitled athletes during the official ceremony. All prizes, net of the withholding tax required under Italian fiscal law, will be paid exclusively to entitled athletes upon presentation of a valid identification document.

No proxies or postal shipments will be accepted.

Unclaimed prizes will be donated to charity.

6.1 – General rules

Slower competitors must allow faster athletes to overtake safely. Technical sections with reduced visibility must be ridden at an appropriate speed. On downhill sections, athletes must never exceed their technical limits.

Any mechanical failure must be repaired outside the race course. Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate disqualification.

6.2 – Mandatory equipment

In accordance with FITri regulations, all participants must be equipped with:

  • Race number (bib)
  • Timing chip
  • Bike number (double-sided)
  • Wetsuit for the swim segment
  • Approved protective helmet
  • One-piece triathlon suit for the cycling segment
  • Bicycle: only mountain bikes are allowed, without bullhorn handlebars, disc wheels, or any type of extensions or aerodynamic attachments, in accordance with FITri rules

6.3 – Recommended additional equipment

  • Goggles for the swim segment
  • Gloves for the cycling segment (if needed)
  • Sunglasses for cycling and running
  • Water bottle for the cycling segment containing water or energy drinks
  • Cap for the running segment

6.4 – Medical assistance

Medical support includes ambulances with doctors and nurses at the finish area, mobile medical teams with specialized personnel, and fixed and mobile radio-rescue stations.

6.5 – Insurance

The event is covered by an insurance policy provided by FITri and an additional third-party liability (R.C.T.) policy taken out by the organiser.

6.6 – Course marking

The swim course will be marked by an underwater steel cable with buoys, with distance markers every 250 metres.

The bike course will be marked with directional coloured arrows.

The run course will be marked with directional arrows and coloured flags.

6.7 – Environmental protection

Athletes may only receive aid in designated aid and feed zones.

It is strictly forbidden to throw waste along the course; all waste must be disposed of in bins placed after the aid stations. Leaving the marked course is also prohibited.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate disqualification.

7.1 – Liability waiver

The Pedali di Marca Association declines any responsibility for itself and its collaborators for accidents or damage to persons or property that may occur before, during, or after the event, or as a consequence of it.

Participation is at the athlete’s own risk. By registering, the participant waives any right to legal action, including against third parties, the Organizing Committee, and all individuals or legal entities involved in the organization of the event.

7.2 – Protests

As provided by current FITri regulations, any protest must be submitted in writing to the jury within 30 minutes after the end of the race, upon payment of the required deposit fee, if applicable.


7.3 – Unauthorised photography

The Organizing Committee declines any responsibility for photographs taken or distributed by unauthorised operators.

7.4 – Lost & found

Items found in the start/finish area or along the race course must be handed over to the Race Secretariat and will be kept by the Organizing Committee for return to their owners.

7.5 – Changes

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify the regulations, course, and elevation profile. The event will take place in all weather conditions, and only the Organizing Committee Director has the authority to cancel the race.

All information will be published online, at the race office, and on the information board.

If, due to force majeure or any other reason not attributable to the organisers, the event cannot take place, the entry fee will neither be refunded nor carried over to the following year.

7.6 – Signature

By signing the registration form, participants declare that they hold a valid licence, have read and accepted these regulations, and consent to the use of their personal data in accordance with Italian Privacy Law No. 675 of 31/12/1996. This applies to all registration methods, including online, paper form, letter, or fax.

7.7 – Privacy law (Legislative Decree No. 196/2003)

In full compliance with Legislative Decree No. 196 of 2003 on the protection of personal data, the information collected during registration will be used exclusively for race administration purposes and for possible communications related to the activities of ASD Pedali di Marca.
