GT3 LAVAREDO | Gravel Cross Triathlon
1.1 – Organizing Committee
GT3 LAVAREDO GRAVEL CROSS TRIATHLON is organized by A.S.D. Pedali di Marca, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Auronzo di Cadore, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters.
The headquarters and finish area are located at Lake Santa Caterina in Auronzo di Cadore.
1.2 – Reference Regulations
GT3 LAVAREDO GRAVEL CROSS TRIATHLON will take place in compliance with these regulations, the official event program, and the decisions taken by the Race Jury and the Organizing Committee.
For matters not covered by these regulations, reference is made to the World Triathlon Competition Rules and the FITri Technical Regulations in force on the race date.
1.3 – Date And Venue
Sunday, July 12, 2026 – Auronzo di Cadore (BL). Headquarters and finish area at the Lake Auronzo area (Lake Santa Caterina).
1.4 – Start Order
Start at 10:30 a.m.:
Wave starts (FITri ranking criteria; women first wave) with 2’–3’ intervals.
All athletes will be divided into heats based on the national F.I.TRI. ranking score and foreign Elite athletes.
The women’s category will start in the first heat.
Access to the starting grids is allowed 10 minutes before the scheduled time for the assigned wave (example: start at 10:30 a.m. – grid access at 10:20 a.m.). Starting from a grid different from the assigned one, without written authorization from the O.C., will result in automatic exclusion from the race classification.
To participate in GT3 LAVAREDO GRAVEL CROSS TRIATHLON, the athlete must be registered with a F.I.TRI. club. Foreign athletes must present the sports license of their country of origin.
It is also possible to obtain a one-day license (“daily pass”) at a cost of €20.00 (+ entry fee), upon presentation of a competitive medical certificate bearing the wording “Triathlon”, in accordance with the current F.I.TRI. Technical Regulations.
The one-day license must be requested exclusively during the registration phase on the ENDU platform.
3.1 – Opening of registrations
Registrations open on 19.12.2025 and close on 30.06.2026, subject to availability.
3.2 – Availability of places
The maximum number of registrations allowed is 1,000.
The O.C. reserves the right to increase this number in favor of Open athletes and invitation wild cards.
The O.C. may block registrations at any time even if the maximum limit of 1,000 athletes has not been reached.
3.3 – Entry fee
The entry fee is set according to the following criteria:
From December 19, 2025 until reaching 400 registered athletes
• Euro 85,00
From April 1, 2026 until reaching 700 registered athletes
• Euro 100,00
From July 1, 2026 until reaching 1,000 registered athletes
• Euro 120,00
3.4 – One-day license
The one-day license is issued to athletes by FITri through the “MyFITri” platform at the following link: https://www.myfitri.it/
One-day athlete registration – mandatory documents:
- Specific Competitive Medical Certificate for triathlon from 12 years of age and up (age calculated by calendar year);
- Non-competitive Medical Certificate from 6 to 11 years of age (age calculated by calendar year);
- Copy of the payment receipt.
One-day licenses must be requested no later than the Tuesday preceding the races in which one wishes to participate. Maximum punctuality is required to allow the Federation to verify the submitted documentation and validate the registration request, and to allow athletes to register for the race within the established deadlines.
Cost: €20.00
Single fee for all courses, including all race services (course, medical and mechanical assistance, refreshment stations), race pack and race kit, pasta party.
In the event of cancellation or suspension of the event due to force majeure not attributable to the organizer, the entry fee will not be refunded.
3.5 – Registration procedure
Registration can be completed by accessing the website www.gt3lavaredo.com and clicking on https://crosstriathlon.gt3lavaredo.com/. By clicking on “Registrations” you will be automatically connected to the registration procedure.
3.6 – Replacement of a participant
It is possible to replace a participant only once the registration has been completed, by transferring it to a third party and communicating all details to gt3lavaredo@evodata.it. A secretariat fee of €10.00 will be required.
The final deadline for replacements is 30.06.2026.
3.7 – Withdrawal from participation
Possible by 21.06.2026 with name replacement or postponement to the following year; after this deadline no requests will be considered.
3.8 – Checks and complaints
The list of registered athletes will be periodically updated on www.gt3lavaredo.com. For checks and complaints, contact gt3lavaredo@evodata.it.
3.9 – License checks
License checks for competitive category athletes are the responsibility of the Board of Race Officials.
License checks for amateur category athletes are the responsibility of the Organizing Committee. Any special cases reported will be evaluated by the Board of Officials.
License verification will take place at the race secretariat at the Pala TreCime sports hall, Via Zardus, Auronzo di Cadore, at the following times:
Saturday 12.09.2026 / 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday 13.09.2026 / 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
4.1 – Course
Swim (1.0 km): Lake Auronzo, inverted triangular circuit marked with buoys; the use of a triathlon wetsuit is mandatory in cold water (below 18°C) for all categories. The wetsuit must cover the entire body snugly, excluding hands and feet.
The swim leg start is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. from Lido Bucintoro. It will be carried out in waves (FITri ranking criteria; women first wave) with 2’–3’ intervals.
The maximum time for the swim leg is 1 hour.
Cycling (26 km): point to point from Auronzo di Cadore to Misurina, along a cycle route developed on unpaved forest roads, completely closed to traffic. It is a gravel bike triathlon and a mountain bike triathlon; therefore, the use of gravel bikes, mountain bikes, and road bikes with appropriate tires (at least 32”) is permitted.
Mounting the bike inside the transition area is strictly forbidden. Triathletes must mount their bikes in the designated area. Failure to wear a rigid protective helmet will result in immediate disqualification.
The cycling course must be completed within a maximum time of 3 hours. One refreshment point is planned at the T1 transition area and one in Valbona. Total closure to vehicular traffic is planned, with marshals and motorcycle escorts present. Each athlete must, at the end of the leg, place the bicycle in the assigned spot in the transition area.
Drafting is allowed (legal draft) due to the high number of participants.
As per F.I.TRI. technical regulations, the use of disc wheels and handlebar extensions is prohibited.
Run (7.5 km): point to point from Lake Misurina to the Auronzo Hut at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, trail run along Dolomite paths with the possibility of using alpenstocks (foldable trekking poles).
It must be completed within 1 hour and 30 minutes. Refreshment points are planned at the T2 transition area, at the toll booth, and in the Pian de le Ciave area.
Under no circumstances, under penalty of disqualification, may triathletes receive assistance, be preceded or followed by car, motorcycle, bicycle, or on foot by companions.
Maximum time
The maximum time for the swim is 1 hour, for the bike 3 hours, for the run 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the total allowed time is 5 hours and 30 minutes. Any athlete exceeding the maximum time will be stopped and excluded from the final classification.
Transition area
The transition area (T1) is located inside the Bucintoro parking area and is completely fenced with metal barriers. The transition area (T2) is set up at Lake Misurina, inside the parking area of the Giovanni XXIII Institute, and is completely fenced with metal barriers.
4.2 – Timing
Timing will be managed by EVODATA.
4.3 – Intermediate checks
At the start, finish, and along the course, intermediate checkpoints will be positioned. Missing even a single checkpoint will result in exclusion from the classification.
4.4 – Mechanical assistance
A mechanical assistance service will be positioned in the T1 area and at the ValBona refreshment point.
5.1 – Entry into classification
All athletes, competitive and amateur, who complete the entire course within the established maximum times, clearly displaying their bib number and correctly installing the timing chip, will be included in the classifications.
Crossing the finish line without having correctly completed the race course will result in notification of the infraction to the jury, which will take appropriate measures.
Any athlete who is slower than the scheduled time at a time gate will be removed from the race. Their race number will be withdrawn and they must immediately leave the course. Athletes removed from the course under this rule will be classified in the finish sheet according to the order in which they exited the course.
5.2 – Individual classifications
Individual classifications will be drawn up based on completion time and not on finishing order, with separate split times for the three legs (swim-bike-run) and the two transition areas: T1 (swim/bike transition time) and T2 (bike/run transition time). Classifications will be published through the press and on www.gt3lavaredo.com.
5.3 – Awards and prize pool
The first 15 overall men and first 15 overall women will be awarded; prizes to at least the first 6 Age Groups (men and women) and the first 7 Juniors (men and women) with prizes in kind; trophies to the 5 largest teams.
Prizes are not cumulative.
5.4 – Commemorative medal
GT3 LAVAREDO CROSS TRIATHLON has minted a commemorative medal of the event that will be given to all athletes as soon as they cross the finish line. It will be a special item that everyone will keep, both for its artistic value and for the symbolic meaning it represents.
5.5 – Prize collection
The Flower Ceremony and awards will take place at Lake Santa Caterina – in front of Bucintoro.
The cash prize pool and prizes in kind will be delivered to those entitled at the race secretariat, immediately after the awards ceremony and in any case from 4:00 p.m.: all prizes, net of withholding tax as required by Italian tax regulations, will be paid exclusively to the entitled recipients upon presentation of an identity document. Proxies or requests for postal shipment will not be accepted.
Unclaimed prizes will be donated to charity.
5.6 – Certificate of participation
The personalized certificate of participation can be downloaded from the website of the timing service provider. The certificate will be available only to athletes who finish the race and are duly classified.
6.1 – General rules
Slower competitors must facilitate overtaking by faster athletes. Poorly visible sections must be covered at an appropriate speed. On downhill sections, never exceed your technical limits. Any mechanical breakdowns must be repaired off the race course. Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate disqualification.
6.2 – Mandatory equipment
In accordance with F.I.TRI. regulations, all participants must be equipped with:
• Bib number
• Microchip
• Double-sided bike number
• Wetsuit for the swim leg
• Approved helmet
• Full-body suit for the bike leg
• Bicycle (gravel, MTB, or road bike with appropriate tires). As per F.I.TRI. regulations, the following are NOT allowed: bullhorn handlebars, disc wheels, time trial bikes, and any type of prosthesis or extensions.
6.3 – Recommended additional equipment
• Goggles for the swim leg
• Gloves for the bike leg (if necessary)
• Sunglasses for the bike and run legs
• Water bottle for the bike leg containing water or supplements
• Cap for the run leg
• Alpenstocks for the run leg
6.4 – Medical assistance
Includes the use of ambulances with doctors and nurses, fixed first aid points including one permanent at the finish area, mobile service with motorcycles and specialized personnel, fixed and mobile radio rescue points.
6.5 – Sweep service
Athletes who withdraw and are unable to return to the starting point will be assisted and transported to the finish by service vehicles as technically possible.
6.6 – Insurance
The event is covered by a specific insurance policy stipulated by F.I.TRI. and by the organizer’s supplementary R.C.T. (Third Party Civil Liability) insurance.
6.7 – Course marking
The course will be marked for the swim leg with an underwater steel cable delimited by buoys with progressive distance every 250 meters; for the bike leg with colored directional arrows; for the run leg with directional arrows and colored flags.
6.8 – Environmental protection
Athlete refueling is permitted exclusively in areas marked as refreshment/assistance points.
It is strictly forbidden to throw waste along the course; waste must be disposed of in bins placed after refreshment points. Leaving the marked course is also forbidden. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification.
7.1 – Waiver of liability
The Pedali di Marca association declines all responsibility for itself and its collaborators for accidents or damage to persons or property that may occur before, during, or after the event or as a result thereof.
Participation is at one’s own risk. By registering, the competitor waives any right to legal action, including against third parties, against the O.C. and all physical and legal persons involved in organizing the event.
7.2 – Complaints
As provided by current FITri regulations, any complaints must be submitted in writing to the jury within 30 minutes of the end of the race, upon payment of the required deposit fee, if applicable.
7.3 – Photos delivered to home
The organization declines all responsibility for the sending of photographs by unauthorized operators.
7.4 – Lost & found
Items found in the start/finish area and along the race course must be delivered to the Race Secretariat manager and will be kept by the organizing committee for return.
7.5 – Changes
Changes to regulations, course, and elevation profile are reserved to the O.C. The event will take place under any weather conditions, and only the O.C. manager has the authority to cancel the competition. All information will be published online, at the race office, and on the information board.
If, due to force majeure or any other cause not attributable to the organization, the event does not take place, the participation fee will neither be refunded nor credited for the following year.
7.6 – Signature
By signing the registration form, participants declare that they possess a valid license, have read these regulations, and consent to the use of their data in accordance with Privacy Law No. 675 of 31/12/96. The same applies to those registering individually via form, online, letter, or fax.
7.7 – Privacy law Legislative Decree No. 196 of 2003
In full compliance with Legislative Decree No. 196 of 2003 on the protection of personal data, the data required for registration will be processed exclusively for the normal administrative activities of the above-mentioned race, as well as for any proposals and communications related to the activities of ASD Pedali di Marca.
Updates or deletion may be requested by writing to: ASD Pedali di Marca, via Forlani 42, 31032 Casale sul Sile (TV). In the same manner, it is possible to express the wish not to communicate the data in question to third parties.
